Homeschool Hybrid Campuses
A researched list of homeschool hybrid options in northeast Ohio with a description of what homeschool hybrid looks like.
For families who do not feel equipped to go full homeschool, a homeschool hybrid set-up may be the solution. What is homeschool hybrid? Glad you asked! A homeschool hybrid set-up is one where kids spend 2 days per week in a classroom setting with a teacher and experience a bit of what their public school counter-parts do every day. The other 2-3 days are spent learning at home in traditional homeschool fashion. The difference is that homeschool hybrid programs help parents with direction by providing a schedule, curriculum, and community. Homeschool hybrid programs are frequently supported by the families enrolled, so if you are considering this for your family, make sure to budget for tuition and time spent volunteering and/or helping at your program of choice.
Note: Not all programs listed below are true homeschool hybrid programs. Some are more an alternative approach to education that families might consider. I've included all these programs here because they all at least sort of fit a hybrid education description.
- Lighthouse Homeschool Academy: Located in Fairview Park, Lighthouse is a Christian homeschool hybrid program where students spend 2 days a week on campus and 3 days learning at home. See also: Facebook page
- Hearthside Christian Academy: Located in Brunswick, Hearthside is a brand new, Christian homeschool hybrid program that will open its doors for the first time in the fall of this year. Students at Hearthside will spend 2 days learning on campus and 2 days learning at home with Friday being treated as a "sabbath" or family day. See also: Facebook page
- Bloom Learning Community: Located in Berea, Bloom is a learner-centered microschool that offers flexible and personalized learning opportunities through a hybrid school model. See also: Facebook page
- The Wonder Trail Learning Community: Located in North Royalton, The Wonder Trail is an alternative education approach for children ages 6-10. See link above for contact info and more insight into the program.

I will continue updating this list as I find more homeschool hybrid programs.
