Below is a list of homeschool coops in the northeast Ohio area. Each coop listed has either a Facebook page or website linked as well as the county(ies) served and what's offered described in a brief description. Any coops listed are required to have either a Facebook page or website that can be linked with their listing on this page.

Homeschool Co-ops:

Christian Co-ops:

  • Promise Homeschool Group: Meets for two, 13 week sessions - 1 in the fall + 1 in the spring - in Garretsville, OH {located in NW Portage County} on Tuesdays from 9 am-1:30 pm and serves Portage, Cuyahoga, Geauga, and Summit Counties. Offers classes for students in K-12. Pre-K classes available for siblings. New members welcome on a first come, first serve basis.
  • Archers Homeschool Group: Meets at Grace CM&A Church in Middleburg Heights, OH and offers field trips, service projects, a spelling bee, oral presentations, fairs, holiday parties, classes, a physical fitness challenge, and a talent show... much more. Serves Christian families from a variety of denominations throughout the Greater Cleveland area.
  • Apex Homeschool Co-op: A Christian, Bible based homeschool co-op that meets at Pittsfield Community Church in Wellington, OH. The group strives to build community while providing a strong education for all ages. Meets on Tuesdays from 9 AM-1:30 PM.
  • Heritage Oaks Christian Homeschool Co-op: A supportive, Christ-centered homeschool community, Heritage Oaks meets in Wadsworth once a week and strives to provide Christian homeschool families with encouragement in their homeschool journey. Offers academic classes, enrichment, and social & spiritual opportunities for students in grades K-12. Heritage Oaks also offers toddler and infant programs.
  • Cuyahoga County Christian Home Educators: Group focused on providing encouragement, fellowship, and sisterhood in the journey of homeschool through a Christian lens. See/join Facebook group for more information.
  • Medina Christian Homeschool Friends: Founded in 2010, Medina Christian Homeschool Friends is centered in Medina, OH, but is open to people from surrounding communities. The group is Bible-based strives to provide support, friendship, fun, and enrichment for homeschool families through field trips, volunteer projects, and fellowship opportunities.
  • Holy Family Catholic Homeschoolers: Group whose purpose is to provide support and encouragement to all who homeschool and want to provide their children with a Catholic education. Offers academic advice & support, socialization & extra-curricular activities, social networking, curriculum & book swaps each year... plus other opportunities.
  • Classical Conversations: Established homeschool program offering support, community, proven K-12 curriculum, hands-on learning, fine arts, regular parent training, and much more. Visit linked website to find your local group.
  • Parents Advocating Teaching at Home (P.A.T.H.): Meets in Wellington on Tuesdays with elementary & middle school groups that meet bi-weekly + high school students who meet weekly. Volunteer-led homeschool group in which parents teach all classes. Membership fee = $70 per family annually

Secular Co-ops:

  • F.L.O.W. (Free Learners on the Westside): Meets for six sessions per school year in Westlake with the mission of helping homeschool families create meaningful learning and social opportunities. See website for more information.
  • Wild Acorns: Newer group that meets in the North Olmsted/Westlake/Fairview area. Common meeting places include Clague Park, Rocky River Nature Center, and the metroparks. Join Facebook group for more information.
  • Oaks Homeschool Co-op: A community of secular homeschooling families with a commitment to supporting each other in the educational journey and encouraging academic and personal growth, Oaks Homeschool Co-op values scientific, fact-based teaching and has no religious affiliation. The group meets from September through May on Tuesdays from 10 AM-2 PM in locations across the west side of Cleveland (e.g., Westlake, North Olmsted, Avon, Lakewood, etc.). Facebook page linked here.
  • NEO Homeschool Collective: Secular, inclusive, LGBTQA+ affirming homeschool group focused on bringing homeschool families together for social enrichment & educational opportunities. Teaches a pro-science world-view and firmly supports vaccinations. Offers classes in the fall, winter, & spring, holiday parties,and social outings. 2 options for membership.
  • Medina Explorers Homeschool Co-op: A co-op designed with the goal of building consistent community for homeschool families in and around Medina. The group meets primarily outdoors and encourages members to attend at least once a month with the purpose of building community and fostering friendships while learning in an interest-led way.
  • Homeschool K.I.D.S. of Stow (+surrounding areas): A friendly group of homeschoolers with kids ages birth to 9 years who meet regularly for casual fun with the aim of fostering friendships. The group meets outdoors at playgrounds and parks when weather permits; indoors at libraries, play places, etc. when the weather isn't ideal for being outdoors. Facebook page linked above.
  • Willow Farms by STEPS Academy: Features a daily schedule that prioritizes functional and practical academics, independent living skills, and adaptive vocational skill development. Activities include: culinary arts, life skills, animal care, horticulture, personal finance, and interactive equine activities among others. Focus on providing quality education for students with learning differences or difficulties... i.e., neurodivergent students.
  • Cleveland-Parma Area Homeschool Co-op: Meets every Thursday afternoon and offers social opportunities and field trips for families homeschooling kids ages 5-14. See linked Facebook page for more information.
  • Solon Early Childhood PTA (S.E.C.P.T.A): Non-profit organization serving families in Solon, Twinsburg, Aurora, and Chagrin Falls (plus surrounding areas) and offering events, service, and community engagement. See linked Facebook page for more information.

  • Beyond Walls Collaborative: A supportive community focused on providing homeschool families - as well as families seeking an alternative approach to education - with a natural and holistic education experience, Beyond Walls takes education outdoors and allows kids to learn through exploration.
